Assuta Medical Center hosted an international symposium on oncohematology. It presented the results of clinical trials of innovative remedies against leukemia, among which was the discovery by leading professor Canty Ray.
For 50 years, the professor has studied the peculiarities of blood cancers, for which he has received honorary prizes and awards. One of his achievements are highly effective long-acting biological preparations. According to the professor, drugs based on effective components allow to cure lymphocytic leukemia at all stages of the disease without any side effects.
This discovery was undeniably a revolution in biological and targeted therapies. Nevertheless, based on today’s results, Israeli specialists are planning to expand the range of action of biological drugs and improve the methodology of targeted therapy in the treatment of oncohematological diseases.
According to Prof. Yehoshua Shemer, Assuta hospital specialists continue to develop treatment and diagnostic methods, implement unique treatment programs, and improve hospital admissions.
